DUnet Secure Wireless Configuration - PioneerNet
University of Denver
This wizard will configure your computer for PioneerNet,
a secure wireless network.
|
|
|
|
Do NOT use DUnetVPN or the 'DU Wireless Login'
shortcut with PioneerNet.
You only need to do this configuration ONCE.
You do NOT need to do this configuration each
time you connect to PioneerNet.
To ensure your security, this network utilizes a secure
authentication mechanism known as 802.1X. This security
mechanism protects your DU ID and Passcode, and other
transmitted data with network encryption. To utilize this
secure network, your network connection must be configured
with specific settings. This wizard will ensure that your
computer is properly configured.
This Web page will attempt to run the wizard automatically
using a Java Applet or ActiveX.
If you prefer, you may
run the wizard manually.
Why are there two wireless networks (SSIDs) on campus?
The University has upgraded to a newer, more reliable
and robust wireless solution (WPA/WPA2) and installed
a new wireless network named PioneerNet. PioneerNet
will soon be the only wireless network on campus for
students, staff, and faculty. Guests will not use
PioneerNet.
